Somewhere after parting ways with the blind kid but before an unpaid intern thought he was a dead body, Chu-e was on his merry little way up Route 119. And by 'merry' I mean to say 'miserable' because that's what happens when your meat-sack had to be frankenstein'd back together and you laid in hospital bed more than you stood most days.

And because Chu-e really loved to push himself, he had found himself lost in a big patch of dry grass that was taller than his head. It seemed like he would fight through the weeds only to get turned around and then come back out the side he came in from and it was pissing him off. If he wasn't trying to be a Good Boy so Alfric didn't beat his ass like the avenging angel she was, he might have had Puff just burn the whole damned thing down.

So at this point he was tired and sweaty and covered in all kinds of weird Nature Shit and kind of in a bad mood. Which would be unfortunate for any pokemon that might cross his path.
